Hey, we’re Soraya and Jeroen, the people behind The Marquee Man, a New Zealand–owned marquee hire business based in the Waikato, servicing Hamilton and surrounding areas.

The Marquee Man was founded after we experienced first-hand how hard it can be to find reliable marquee and event hire services. While helping organise a friend’s wedding, we ran into issues with some hire companies, late arrivals, poor communication, and a lack of consistency. It turned what should have been an exciting time into a stressful one.

That experience sparked the idea for The Marquee Man.

We set out to create a marquee hire service that people could actually rely on, one that shows up on time, communicates clearly, and takes pride in doing the job properly. As a small local business, you’re dealing directly with us from start to finish. No call centres, no runaround, just real people who care about your event.

Soraya handles the organisation, bookings, and customer communication. She’s all about making the process easy and stress-free, with a strong focus on customer experience and attention to detail.

Jeroen
Jeroen is hands-on with deliveries, setup, and pack-down, making sure everything is installed safely, securely, and looking its best. He takes pride in doing things right and ensuring every marquee is event-ready.
